Gaming Sessions 32 - 33 (May 6 - July 1, 2006) (Total XP for each party member: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 4,726; and Klesk: 6,250)
39th Topaz: The party procedes through the doors on the opposite side of the White Dragon Sanctuary. They cross a corridor, and see an archway door covered with Dwarven holy symbols. They flee through the door, and find a stairway. The stairway ascends a mile, to the Dwarven Paladin citadel of Ziyun. The dwarves are grateful to learn that the White Dragon has been slain. Here the party meets Lung, a Dwarven Paladin, who agrees to join them in their journey accompanying the emperor to Delphi. From Ziyun, they are directed to a secret road that leads to the Pharsalus-Kolu road.
44th Topaz: The party arrives in Kolu. They are warned that there has been a revolution in Delphi. Chaos is spreading throughout the empire. The provisional government is too paralyzed to go after the obsidian blade. The party is asked to teleport to the Temple of Jacinth in Delphi.
The party learns of the provisional government's intention to sacrifice Atanas once they obtain the Obsidian Blade.
2nd Jacinth: The party arrives in New Delphi. They stay at Wilburr's Bar. They gather information and learn that the provisional government is on the verge of splintering into warring factions. Klesk tells what he knows about The Four Futures. After debating which faction they will give the Obsidian Blade to, they decide to postpone the decision until they have retrieved the blade. They turn Atanas over to Pylus, who polymorphs him into a salamander
3rd Jacinth: The party sells some of its more valuable treasure to "Abel the Gnome" of the House of Ardarec.
11th Jacinth: Pylus teleports the party to the Goblin road just south of Lamia. On the Goblin road, the party encounters a Delver. XP reward for defeating the Delver: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 338; and Klesk: 450. They encounter a Jinxkin name Tza, whom they intimidate into giving them intelligence about Bardarbunga.
19th Jacinth: Party reaches the entrance to Bardarbunga. Battle with a Jinxkin swarm. XP reward for defeating the Jinxkin swarm: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 56; and Klesk: 75. Battle with 3 Jinxkin swarms and 2 Delvers. XP reward for defeating the swarms and the Delvers: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 844; and Klesk: 1,125.
Another battle with a Jinxkin swarm. XP reward for defeating the Jinxkin swarm: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 56; and Klesk: 75. The party frees Myconid slaves trapped in two slave pens.
Battle with 3 Soul Spiders. XP reward for defeating the Soul Spiders: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 1,013; and Klesk: 1,350. The party frees Myconid slaves trapped in two slave pens.
Exhausted and many members severely wounded, the party hides in the caverns of Bardarbunga.
20th Jacinth: Grand battle with Grand Jinxkin Adolf, 2 Jinxkin High Priests, 2 Delvers, 3 Soul Spiders. Adolf is killed. XP reward for winning the final battle: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 2,363; and Klesk: 3,100. The party frees Myconid slaves trapped in two slave pens.
As Klesk examines Adolf's corpse, a Mind Mite burrows into his hand, and takes control of his mind. XP reward for defeating the mind mite: Cuahtemoc, Sebastian, Orton, Lung, Elias, Grok, and Dmitrius: 56; and Klesk: 75. The party frees Myconid slaves trapped in two slave pens.
The party searches Adolf's throne, and finds, amid fabulous treasure, the Obsidian Blade!
45th Jacinth: Arrive in Delphi. Orton performs a divination and receives the message: "In relinquishing the blade, you will be freed from your burdens." Klesk performs a divination and receives the message: "In relinquishing the blade, you relinquish your protection from the prying eyes of Gods and diviners." Klesk performs another divination, asking who the most likely claimants to the Goblin throne are. Answer: "Praxiteles, Agamemnon, Pylus, and Phillip." Party decides to give the blade to Phillip.
24th Hematite: Party arrives in Knossos. Klesk performs another divination, asking, "What will Phillip do with the Obsidian Blade?"
27th Hematite: The party meets with Grand Duke Phillip--old, wizened, especially small and frail looking, long locks of braided silver hair, resplendent robes of white and green. He receives the Obsidian Blade
30th Hematite: Phillip asks to meet with the party. He presents the black creature to them and asks them to deliver it to Queen Sahariel.
